Tagine - Cast Iron
This round tagine from the Staub Specialties range is popular with beginners, amateur cooks and professionals who enjoy experimenting. The tagine was originally created by the Berber tribes of Morocco and is therefore generally used to cook North African dishes. That said, the tagine can also be used to cook a variety of delicious dishes from other corners of the globe. A tagine is shaped like a cone, a unique shape that intensifies the flavor of foods, and was originally made from clay. Cast iron is a more suitable material for cookers which is why the Staub tagine has a cast iron base and an airtight ceramic lid, which stops air from escaping and the flavor of the food from diminishing. The tagine is 28 cm in diameter and can be used on all heat sources, as well as on induction hobs.
